Paard Verzameld Challenge : Zorn Palette

Each month the collective issues a challenge to all the artists to experiment with new techniques.

It was the first time someone limited me to a certain color palette. I had to refine and deepen my color theory knowledge and the use of blending modes in Photoshop.
The reference photo, kindly provided by Kathy Russell, led me to this painterly stencil with the Zorn palette.

The Swedish painter Anders Zorn only used four colors: yellow ochre, ivory black, vermillion and titanium white. It is a way to learn to utilize the value rather than color to emphasize form.

How do you like my approach to this challenge?
